PRIEC (Politics of Race, Immigration, and Ethnicity Consortium) is an ongoing series of meetings that brings together faculty and graduate students and showcases work-in-progress on racial/ethnic politics and the politics of immigration. The consortium’s main objectives are to provide a forum and a resource for graduate students seeking mentoring and advice, and for faculty to collaborate and receive feedback on ongoing projects. The UC Davis PRIEC meeting will be held on Thursday May 9th and Friday May 10th. The May 9th date is reserved for the first ever PRIEC Undergraduate Research Conference and the May 10th date is a traditional full day PRIEC meeting featuring research from faculty and graduate students.
