Katherine Eriksson receives 2018-2019 UC Davis Hellman Fellowship Award

Katherine Eriksson has received a UC Davis Hellman Fellowship for the 2018-2019 academic year. The Hellman Fellows Fund will support Assistant Professor Eriksson's research examining the historical evolution of racial gaps in US infant mortality. Eriksson's project uses newly collected individual-level death certificates, together with full-count population data from the US Census, to look at the role of migration to cities, differences in city provision of health services, and the baby boom in explaining the black-white gap in infant mortality.
