Caitlin Patler will be a Faculty Research Fellow at UC Davis Humanities Institute

DHI Faculty Fellow Caitlin Patler will be a “residence” in spring 2018. Her project focuses on "The Impacts of Long-term Immigration Detention on Individuals, Households, and Communities." The UC Davis Humanities Institute’s Faculty Research Fellowship helps faculty make progress on a major research or creative project.

The purpose of the fellowship is to further the research/creative work of the individual recipients and to enable faculty within the humanities and humanistic social sciences to meet and work with colleagues in other disciplines and departments.

Projects need not be “interdisciplinary” by definition, and awards are based on the scholarly merit of the individual applications. The fellowship provides recipients with a single course release. All Faculty Research Fellows take their fellowship in the same quarter and meet weekly at the UC Davis Humanities Institute to informally discuss their work.
