Anne Visser recieved a 1.7 million dollar grant from the Norwegian Research Council

In June, Anne Visser and colleagues from the Norwegian Technical University and the University of Exeter in hte (UK) recieved a 1.7 million dollar grant from the Norwegian Research Council to Look at Global Immigration to Rural Areas of Post Industrial Economies. 

The project seeks to integrate knowledge from immigration theory, labor market theory, as well as rural studies to consider the following research questions across these three areas:

  • Rural transnationalism
  • New social inequalities in rural societies
  • Multispatial rural practices, identities, and belongings
