San Diego will proudly host the 2017 Statewide Conference for the Filipino American Educators Association of California (FAEAC) at the Handlery Hotel on Sept. 29 & 30, 2017. Our 2017 theme will be “Empowerment Through Shared Knowledge.”

Sacramento was the site of the FAEAC Conference for 2013 and 2015.  San Diego was the site of the first FAEAC Conference in 1988 and again in 1992, 1997, and 2003 with Filipino American Educators (FILAMEDA) sponsoring these conferences. Bringing together educators and others working towards disseminating vital information critical to the inclusion of Filipino heritage in schools and communities, this conference is timely considering the strides recently made at the State level to acknowledge the contributions of Filipinos in the United States, as well as the historical changes being made within various communities and school districts across California.
